A Cleereman Controls Edger System contains Three major system components, as well as a handful of secondary components. The Edger cabinet acts as the central hub of communication and logic for the entire system. The Edger Console acts as the operators station, receiving all the inputs from the machine operator. The Edger HMI indicates the system state and positions of edger components.
Edger Cabinet, placed near the edger, this is the central brain of the system. The Edger PLC and RMC as well as the primary network switch are inside this cabinet. All Edger control inputs come into this cabinet, and all outputs come from this cabinet
The Edger Optimizer PC is also mounted inside this cabinet in scanning systems
Edger Console, positioned above the infeed in front of the operator. The Edger Console PLC receives all manual user inputs from the operator. Foot pedals, and all console buttons signal the Console PLC, which communicates the operators inputs to the Edger PLC
Edger HMI, displays all system state information for the operator. Saw positions, pincher positions, Gang Pocket (if attached), species selection etc. This also has several troubleshooting pages that can be helpful when diagnosing an issue with the system
