The Cut Line switch is generally placed last at startup, once the carriage track is clear and its possible to freely run the carriage up and down the track. Positioning it correctly can sometimes be tricky, and modifications to the sensor plate, and the exact place position of the sensor is common.
Assemble all necessary components
Run the cut line sensor cable from the pantograph post back to the setworks cabinet alongside the cables spanning the pantograph post
Once you can freely move the carriage up and down the track, position the sensor and the flag so that
As the carriage drives into the saw from the load end, the sensor turns on between knee 1 and knee 2, closer to knee 2
The sensor must stay on as the carriage continues to move through the unload end all the way to the end of the track
The sensor should never turn on while the carriage is in the load area
