Saw kerf being accurate is critical for optimized cutting. This ensures your opening faces are accurate, your board sizes come out on size, and your final cant/board are sized correctly. Normally this is a consistent value once set, but if your saws cut differently, it may be necessary to account for the change if precision piece thickness is important for your business
Navigate from the operator display to Set Size Setup, Board & Cant Sizes.
Adjust your Headrig saw kerf size, and if necessary set your Resaw kerf size if cutting packages
Doublecut systems will also have a Backcut Adder value if your system cuts differently in directionally
You need to change the Saw kerf value at startup, saw change, or incorrect cutting thicknesses being calculated
Your doublecut systems backcut kerf behaves differently then forward cutting
