Pantograph Cabling Guide
Pantograph Cabling Guide
The pantograph cabling from the setworks cabinet to the carriage is an important and often rushed step. No shortcuts should be taken here, as it will result in excess wear and tear, shorts, knee runaways etc.
Starting from the carriage make sure to run out every cable to span the pantrograph (1 per knee and 1 from the AC junction box, encoder if shotgun carriage)
Run the cable "loose" at the connection points, generally following the hydraulic hoses. Make sure to allow for flex as the carriage moves
Leave slack if able before cutting to length to terminate, this makes it much easier to remedy problem spots if noticed at startup and will prevent terminations pulling out if too tight
