The Carriage Cut Line Sensor is an important component, especially so for non-scanning systems on keeping track of the positional state of the carriage by counting cut lines, and registering logic for how to handle state changes when a log is un-dogged on the carriage.
Check if the sensor is activating when covered. If not verify sensor is powered, cable and sensor is not damaged, end is terminated correctly etc
If sensor is activating in the wrong spot, need to adjust sensor or flag position on top of pantograph post
Note: for scanning systems, if the cut line sensor is non-functional turn on virtual cut line sensor using the encoder until it can be fixed. If the virtual sensor is on a scanning system and the encoder is non-functional, use the cut line sensor and run manually without the scanner/encoder until the encoder is fixed
Cut lines are not being counted on the system
Encoder or cut line sensor are damaged
