Carriage Scan System Overview

A Cleereman Controls Scanning Optimized System adds on several major components to a Cleereman Carriage system in order to support the operator, so they can focus on the lumber they are producing, and to optimize cutting to reduce wasted material and lines.

Carriage Scan System Major Components

Optimizer PC Panel, This holds the scanner components inside the setworks cabinet.
- Optimizer PC, Runs the CleereOpti program that collects scan data, optimizes opening faces, stacks, and provides solutions to the Setworks PLC.
Scanner Interface Box, communication and power hub for the scanheads in the system. Also holds the Encoder PLC as well as the optional auto-saw guide terminations.
Optimizer HMI, Sitting within view of the operator. This provides scanning optimization information to the sawyer, similar to the Setworks HMI.
Scan Frame, spanning the log deck (and sometimes over the cab) the scan beam and scan bar positions the scanheads at the right distance, and angle in relation to the carriage .
