Each knee on a Cleereman Linear Carriage, or the first knee on a proportional will have a positional sensing probe inserted into the cylinder. The probe sense the position of a very strong magnet in the cylinder in order to calibrate and track its position accurately.
Turn of power to the setworks cabinet. and ensure the Setworks HPU is off, and the system has had time to relieve pressure and cool
On the backside of the carriage knee, remove the red probe connector guard and unscrew the probe connection
Unscrew the probe from the cylinder and extract the rod, you may wanted a bucket or some sawdust to collect the remaining oil, should be a small amount
Insert the new probe centered, about 1/3rd the way in their is a second orifice you cannot see that it must slip inside, if you this it will not fully insert
Hand tighten the probe as best you can, do not over tighten with a wrench, 1/8th to 1/4 turn at most
Screw the connection back to the probe, and turn the setworks cabinet power back on, NOT THE HPU yet, and ensure it comes on with a green light at the back end of the probe
Replace the red probe connector guard
Startup the system and check knee functionality, knee calibration is usually not necessary
